Abstract

The article deals with analysis of artillery officer professional activities peculiarities. The definition of concept “problem” and “problematic situation”, its practical thinking in course of fire mission are given. The in-depth analysis of researches in the sphere of practical thinking was carried out. The classification of problematic situations according to researches of leading scientists has been done according to the following characteristics: problem formulation, problem-solving technique. The main aim of authors is to ground practice-oriented subject-efficient model of artillery officer practical thinking in course of fire mission as implementation of leading practice-oriented professional competence. The peculiarities of fire missions accomplishment as solution of problematic situations in a context of uncertainty were defined, while its solution demands developed practical thinking in different situations, especially combat ones. The model shows “ambiguity areas” decreasing in the process of practical thinking functioning from problem’s analysis, making a decision and its implementation. This model consist of three phases (problem’s analysis, making a decision, its implementation), each of them has certain peculiarities of psychic cognitive process, which takes place in problematic practical and sometimes extreme situations. The practical thinking of the artillery officer is a in difficult circumstances: uncertainty, shortage of information and time, personal responsibility for decisions made and its successful implementation. The substantiated model of practical thinking development of the artillery officer in the course of performing the fire missions involves the use of context and subjective-activity approaches, the direct subject-subject interaction between the actors (senior commander, head of studies) and the subject of influence (artillery officer), "takes into account" thinking particularities in the certain practical situation in a difficult educational and training environment. The process of accomplishing the fire mission is substantiated in the context of solving a problem situation that has three phases (problem analysis, decision making, direct execution of the decision) in accordance with the manifestation of the peculiarities and changes in the nature of practical thinking during the accomplishment of the fire mission. We determined the peculiarities of artillery officer practical thinking in each phase are due to: the nature of the educational and training-combat task; individual-psychic features of the subject of activity (particular artillery officer); the state of completeness of the previous phase (“closedness” of situation); the need to change the type and character of thinking (including theoretical) in each phase; the purpose of the task; the magnitude of the uncertainty zone in each phase.
