Abstract
The purpose of this theoretical review is to analyze the problem of adaptation of the individual in a chronic disease in modern clinical psychology. The basic concepts and concepts of the subjective perception of the disease, self-regulation and personal adaptation in conditions of life threatening and well-being of the disease are described.
