THE PROBLEMS OF FORMING FUTURE NAVIGATORS’ FOREIGN COMPETENCE

Abstract
The article refers to the problem of mastering the future navigators’ ability to communicate English in mixed and multinational crews. Attention is paid to the formation of foreign language competence as a communication ability in the process of performing functional duties. International and state acts, which put forward demands for future navigators in order to guarantee the safety of international shipping, are considered.
