The Process of Institutional Evaluation and Accreditation. Seen form the point of view of Internal Organizational Communication

Abstract

This article examines the critical interrelationship between Institutional Evaluation and Accreditation Processes seen from Internal Organizational Communication. The documentation that governs the procedure of the institutional evaluation process, including self-assessment, does not explain its relationship with internal organizational communication. The objective of this study is to explain the essence and importance of the quality management of its substantive processes for the organizational development of Higher University Education and, based on this, the evaluation and accreditation processes. These are managed based on standards, procedures, deployment and execution stages. The methodology applied in this article is based on bibliographic and/or documentary research, analysis of scientific discourse and analysis of institutional documents, the results of which were triangulated once the primary data and analysis were obtained. The results of the current research highlight the absence of a global perspective of communication that places it closer to strategic communication processes. This positioning is exclusive to communication and is vital in the field of organizational management procedures. Therefore, the conclusion is reached: The importance of recognizing and enhancing the relationship between Institutional Evaluation and Accreditation and Internal Organizational Communication is emphasized to ensure relevant and high-quality education, through empirical research and modeling, in The Catholic University of Cuenca has developed a communication management model for institutional evaluation, which serves as a solution to this aforementioned problem
