THE PROPERTIES OF SELF-LUBRICATING BEARINGS ON THE BASE OF BRONZE POWDER WITH A MODIFIED SURFACE LAYER SUSPENSION IN OIL MoS2 SOLID LUBRICANT PARTICLES OF NANOMETRIC SIZE

Abstract
The Department of Advanced Forming Technology Metal Forming Institute conducted research aimed at developing a new technology of self- -lubricated bearings. This paper describes the technology of porous self- -lubricating bearings on the base of bronze powder (BROMIX) with a modified surface layer suspension in oil MoS2 solid lubricant particles of nanometric size. Modification of the surface layer was carried out using an PC-2, as notified to the protection of intellectual property rights by INOP. Designed and manufactured in the Metal Forming Institute in Poznan tribological test stand, designed for operation at high temperatures. Research in this device may be implemented with the normal charged to 500 N and at ambient temperature and temperatures up to 600°C. The paper presents the results of tribological tests produced self- -lubricated bearings with a modified surface layer. The lowest friction coefficient was obtained for the bearing modified MoS2 nanoparticles suspension in oil. It also presents results of a simulation system load friction pair, using the developed material properties, which are made self- -lubricating bushings [L. 1, 2].
