THE PROPOSAL OF SEPARATING NEW RESERVOIRS IN PLEISTOCENE AND PALEOGENE HYDROGEOLOGICAL STRUCTURES IN THE TRICITY REGION

Abstract
The paper presents an initial characterisation of new hydrogeological structures fulfilling the criteria for the Major Groundwater Basin identified in the Tricity region in Pleistocene, Neogene and Paleogene sediments. The hydrostructural system is discussed and the hydrodynamic position in the groundwater circulation system is indicated. For each structure, hydrogeological parameters of aquifers have been specified: thickness, potential discharge of a well and transmissivity. Groundwater resources have been estimated for each hydrogeological structure and the usefulness for water management have been assessed.
