The proposals for change to corvée and financial management as well as to the repair and construction of roads in Kingdom of Poland in the first half of 1860

Abstract
Problems of construction and repairing of roads, including of course the corvée system and linked directly with these matters financial issues became especially urgent in times of rapid institutional and economic change, which swept Kingdom of Poland in the years immediately before the outbreak of and during so-called January Uprising of 1863. It can even be more than fair to indicate that the achievements (or lack of successes) of these times extensively influenced any possible further development of the road and financial system introduced in Kingdom later on by invading tsarist authorities. Thus emerges for us the indispensable need to recapitulate these yet unexamined issues in their entire complexity.
