The Railway Issue Viewed Through the Prism of A Informação Goyana: “To govern is to buildroads or to educate the people?â€

Abstract
In the beginning of the twentieth Century Goiás was going through a slow process of economic integration. The main reason was the poor structure of the transport routes. The magazine A Informação Goyana appears in this context, in Rio de Janeiro, in order to highlight Goiás, guide its economic project and adjust it to the national economy priorities. The magazine mentors paid special attention to the railway issue, which was essential to the modernization and economic development of the state at that time.
