THE REALITY EROSION IN ZACK SNYDER’S “SUCKER PUNCH”
Journal Title: Вісник Львівського університету - Year 2017, Vol 12, Issue
Abstract
The reality erosion, i.e. an transgressed perception of reality, in Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” is manifested as the layering of the realities of fantasy (the reality of luxury brothel which represents the position of women as sex objects and victims) and of phantasm (the reality which presents women not as victims of sexual violence but as strong personalities) onto the everyday reality of psychiatric asylum which is a source of psychic trauma or exacerbates the psychic trauma which the person already has.
