The Relationship between Sensation Seeking and Risky Behaviors in Addicts (Case Study: Iran, Kermanshah Province)

Abstract

This study attempts to evaluate the relationship between sensation seeking and risky behaviors in addicts. The sample involved 100 persons (50 addicts and 50 non- addicts) that selected based on simple random sampling. Pearson correlation coefficient is used to analyzing the data. Findings investigated that there is a significant relationship between risky behavior and addiction in addicts. Also it introduced that, there is a significant relationship between looking for new dangerous experiences and addiction in these people.
