Abstract
This study aims to discuss the relationship between the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the performance of the Japanese Self Defense Forces (SDF). Thus, through a literature review on the theme, we reflect on the dimensions and the intensity of that interaction, checking if there is a process of mutual exchange.
