The relationship of mental health with the attitude of delinquent behavior of teenagers and the youth in camps of Tehran city

Abstract
The purpose of the present research is to investigate the relationship between mental health and attitudes toward delinquent behavior of teenagers and the youth in camps of Tehran city. 120 subjects were selected randomly. The data were collected through General Health Questionnaire (QHQ28) and attitude toward delinquent behavior and analyzed through descriptive and referential statistics. The results of the study showed that there is a positive meaningful relationship between sub-scales of mental health including anxiety and insomnia, impaired social interaction efficiency, depression and physical signs with attitudes toward delinquent behavior. Delinquent behavior can be predicted by scores of mental health. Prediction power of anxiety and insomnia is more that impaired social interaction efficiency, depression and physical signs.
