Journal Title: Darnios aplinkos vystymas - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 14

Abstract

The aim of this study was to estimate the dynamics of vegetation period of 6 introduced larch species, to evaluate its changes, considering the hardiness zones of natural habitats of these species. Vegetation period of Larix decidua during 1957-2016 period prolonged by 17 days, L. kaempferi - 16 days, L. laricina - 29 days, and L. sibirica - 40 days, vegetation period of both L. x marschlinsii and L. sukaczewii species during 1973-2016 period prolonged by 23 days. Larch species introduced from colder hardiness zones reacted stronger to climate warming. The decorativeness of larch in Lithuania lasts longer as climate gets warmer.
