The right to euglycemia; the responsibility for glucophylaxis

Abstract
Every Indian citizen enjoys the right to life, and to health. These rights, enshrined in our constitution, form the bed rock of our national vision and philosophy. In their endeavor to fulfil these obligations, public health and clinical medicine have worked together to eradicate diseases such as smallpox, guinea worm and polio, and limit the impact of illnesses like leprosy, tetanus and rabies. As these obstacles to life and health have been overcome, however, newer complexities have a risen.
