THE ROLE OF AUTHENTIC NON-GAMING FILMS IN THE FORMATION OF THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF FUTURE CORRECTIONAL TEACHERS

Abstract

The article examines the role of authentic non-fiction films in the formation of foreign-language communicative competence of future correctional teachers. The didactic functions of authentic non-fiction films are revealed, their peculiarities and significance in acquired communicative competence, special attention is focused on the main stages of the use of authentic non-fiction films in work with students. The article highlights the factors that determine the benefits of using educational films, as well as the importance of socio-cultural and sociolinguistic information in the film for teaching correctional teachers of a foreign language.
