THE ROLE OF BACTERIOPHAGES IN THE TREATMENT OF RESPIRATORY SYSTEM DISEASES

Abstract
Diseases of the respiratory system, including bronchitis, pneumonia, and other respiratory infections, are one of the serious threats to human health. Antibiotics are widely used in the treatment of these diseases, but in recent years, bacteriophages, that is, viruses that infect bacteria, have begun to play an important role in the fight against bacteria. Bacteriophages, in turn, offer new therapeutic methods and strategies, which help to increase the efficiency in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system.
