THE ROLE OF CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN TRANSLATORS' AND INTERPRETERS' TRAINING

Abstract
Paper is aimed to determine the powerful instruments of the continuing professional development in training of interpreters and translators. The definition of continuing professional development is given. The role of continuing professional development in translators' and interpreters' training in scientific and technical domains is described. The concept of lifelong learning in professional activity of translators and interpreters is discussed.
