THE ROLE OF INSTRUMENTAL ACCOMPANIMENT IN FOLK CHOIR

Abstract
The article reveals the specificity of instrumental accompaniment, which is used in folk choral groups. There are several types of performing accompaniment compositions: orchestra, ensemble, solo instrument. The choice of the performers must be a conditioned repertoire, which can include both author's works and the processing of folk songs. A great influence on the formation of the performing instrumental composition is provided by the genre of the song. Preference should be given to those instruments that are widely represented in the national performance, but will not be disharmonized within the chosen genre. The function of instrumental accompaniment is to complement, support, and draw the sound of the choir. We should strive for a timbre ensemble of vocal and instrumental beginnings.
