The Role of Religiosity as a Moderation Variable on the Impact of Workload and Competence on Teacher Job Satisfaction at the Ukhuwah Islamiyah Foundation Surabaya Indonesia

Abstract

The aim of this research is to ascertain how religion functions as a moderating factor on the relationship between workload and competence and teacher job satisfaction. This is quantitative research using a likert scale for the measurement. This research uses saturated sampling technique which means the entire existing population used, namely 137 teachers consisting of elementary, middle, and high school teachers. The data collection technique uses questionnaires that are distributed directly to research subjects. Structural Equation Model – Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method was used for analysing data and examining hypothesis. The findings of this research concluded that workload positively influences job satisfaction, competence positively influences job satisfaction, religiosity does not increase or reduce the effect of workload and competence on Job Satisfaction
