THE ROLE OF SOUVENIR PRODUCTION IN PRESENTATION AND POPULARIZATION OF THE TOURIST REGION

Abstract
The role of souvenir production in the development of the tourist industry of the region has been analyzed. The classification of souvenirs has been given and “Transcarpathian souvenirs” have been defined, which serve as a visiting card for the region and identify the territory far beyond its borders. Local souvenir markets have been highlighted, where tourists can buy items in memory of the region.
