THE ROLE OF TRANSNATIONAL BANKS IN THE FORMATION OF THE EU BANKING SERVICES MARKET

Abstract
The paper is dedicated to the study of the concept of a transnational bank as the main subject of the international banking system, to the activity of transnational banks of the European Union in the conditions of globalization and transnationalization of the world economy, analysi ofs the efficiency of functioning of transnational banks of the European Union for the world economy. Also, the largest multinational banks of the European Union and their role in the process of globalization and transnationalization of the world economy are considered in the article.
