The Secondary School Teachers' Perceptions about Their Educational Background and Their Levels of Income

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the teachers' perceptions about their educational background and their levels of income in terms of the variables of gender, education level, and the type of the school. The data were collected from the 900 teachers working in secondary schools, which were in the centre of Mersin Province in 2014-2015 fall and spring semesters. It was found out that there was a significant difference among the teachers' perceptions in terms of the variables of gender, education level, and the career ladders.
