THE SOCIAL NATURE OF KNOWLEDGE IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract

The impact of scientific achievements on public life has led to changes in the social nature of knowledge. Knowledge acquire new characteristics and properties that allow us to comprehend a significant transformation of society and label important features of his existence. Purpose. The definition of the features of the social nature of knowledge in modern society. Methods. Hermeneutic approach applied in analyzing the social nature of knowledge, phenomenological approach allowed to explain the difference between the concepts of knowledge and information. Results. In today's world there is a transition to a new quality of social knowledge. They lose their self-worth and take his qualities as consumer goods. Knowledge treated as a special value by which you can get new value in the next production and exchange. One of the features of the modern knowledge is its different from information. Information becomes knowledge only on the condition of human understanding. Increasingly, knowledge is used for knowledge previously constructed man-made structures and "cultural codes", instead of mastering reality. Originality. The development of a philosophical conception of knowledge as a social phenomenon in the context of new socio-cultural and discursive practices. Conclusion. In modern society, there is a transition to a new quality of social knowledge. Knowledge of the process is seen as legitimizing some knowledge and neglect others, hybridization of different types of knowledge that accompanied the transformation of the content and structure of knowledge. In terms of information technology today, more engineered by human, knowledge is rather used as the knowledge of data structures, instead of concentrating on "mastering" of life. The world seems technically organized production in which the process of obtaining knowledge is a kind of industry.
