The Strain Shearing in the Collizion Zone of the Arabian and Eurasian Plates by the GPS Data and the Plate Rigidity Consideration
Journal Title: Հայաստանի գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի տեղեկագիր․ Մեխանիկա - Year 2008, Vol 61, Issue 2
Abstract
By the FEA method it is defined the strain mode of the Arabian and Eurasian plate fragments in the zone of their Upper Cretaceous collision in Caucasus with consideration of the rigidity difference of those plates. The averaged ratio of elasticity modules of the plates is assessed by the comparison of the longitudinal wave velocity, known from the deep seismic sounding. The kinematics of the region is gained from GPS prospecting at 1988- 1997 on 37 points. The mode of the calculated strain sometimes corresponds to the behavior, anticipated by the other common data.

The asymptotic solution of the first dynamic boundary value problem of the theory of elasticity for two-layered orthotropic plate
The first dynamic boundary problem of the theory of elasticity for two-layered orthotropic plate is considered. The solution of the problem is presented in the form of product of two types of functions. The first of them...

Loss of the Statical Stabity of Electrical Machine Rotor Under Influence of Stator Magnetic Field
It is assumed, that magnetic forces, acting on to the rotor by the stator field, are varied proportionaly with displacements. The criteria of rotor statical stability, depending on rigid characteristics and boundary cond...
