The Structural Changes in the Employment of Ukraine

Abstract
The employment structure reflects the current level of development of socio-economic systems, macroeconomic proportions of the distribution of production factors, the relationship between production and consumption. However, an objective historical process of changing the structure of employment by itself is not evidence of social progress, if it is not accompanied by positive dynamics of productivity and qualitative changes in the nature of employment. The study of the structural characteristics of employment in Ukraine becomes more relevant in the context of European civilization choice made by the country in recent years. The aim of this research is to analyze and to estimate the structural changes in the employment of Ukraine by economic sectors by combining vertical (quantitative) and horizontal (qualitative) aspects, taking into account the distribution of gross value added by sectors, factors of productivity, level of real income from employment, and quality of employment. The national identity of the structural changes of employment, their compliance with global trends and the level of economic development of the country, current priorities for implementation of the task of structural transformation of the economy of Ukraine in the context of the prospects of European integration are defined.
