THE TESTING OF EXPLOITATION PROPERTIES OF ECOLOGICAL GREASES MODIFIED WITH POLYMER-SILICA ADDITIVE

Abstract

In this article, the investigation results of the influence of developed additive AR (silica and polymer) on the change of rolling contact fatigue bearings lubricated with an ecological composition of grease are presented. Lubricating greases not containing the modified additive as well as modifying silica and polymer additives were investigated. Rolling contact fatigue (pitting) for bearings were investigated for lubricated compositions not containing the modified additive and for compositions of grease modified with silica and polymer additives. Then to estimate the influence of the additive in tested lubricating greases on the change of rolling contact fatigue of bearings, tribological tests were carried out using T-03 four-ball machine under high load conditions. The results indicate that modified additive of silica and polymer advantageously influences the change of rolling contact fatigue junction of the friction lubrication of lubricating compositions on base of mineral and vegetable oil and disadvantageously on change of rolling contact fatigue junction of friction for composition on base of synthetic oil.
