The Topp-Leone Burr-XII Distribution: Properties and Applications
Journal Title: Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science - Year 2017, Vol 21, Issue 5
Abstract
In this paper we introduce a new generalization of the Burr-XII distribution using the genesis of the Topp-Leone distribution and is named as Topp-Leone Burr-XII (TLBXII) distribution. The statistical properties of this distribution including the mean, variance, coefficient of variation, quantile function, median, ordinary and incomplete moments, skewness, kurtosis, moment and probability generating functions, reliability analysis, Lorenz, Bonferroni and Zenga curves, Rényi of entropy and order statistics are studied. We consider the method of maximum likelihood for estimating the model parameters and the observed information matrix is derived. Three real data sets are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new model.

An Application of Reliability-analysis Techniques in Project Management
This paper handles a prominent problem of project management, namely that of project scheduling under uncertainty. The paper models this problem as a vector-weighted voting system and expresses the indicator variable for...
Graceful Labelling for Complete Bipartite Fuzzy Graphs
The concept of fuzzy graceful labelling is introduced. A graph which admits a fuzzy graceful labelling is called a fuzzy graceful graph. Fuzzy graceful labelled graphs are becoming an increasingly useful family of mathem...
Improving Performance of GAs by Use of Selective Breading Evolutionary Process
In this paper, the use of selective breading evolutionary process for improving the performance of GAs is evaluated. To accomplish this evaluation, the generalized tardiness flow shop scheduling (GTFS) problem is designa...
Family of Graceful Diameter Six Trees Generated by Component Moving Techniques
Aims/ Objectives: To identify some new classes of graceful diameter six trees using component moving transformation techniques. Study Design: Literature Survey to our ndings. Place and Duration of Study: Department of M...
Super Convergence Method for Solution of Higher Order Boundary Value Problems
A new O(h10) super convergence method based on B-spline of degree eight has been developed for solution of higher order boundary value problems. Our presented collocation method leads to optimal approximation, we descri...
