THE TRADITIONAL CULTURE OF THE CRIMEAN SHEPHERDS OF CHATYR-DAH IN THE XIXth AND THE EARLY XXth CENTURIES: DAILY LIFE AND SUIT

Abstract

The Crimean shepherds of Chatyr-Dah profession’s features, their staying conditions on the pastures, the social and age characteristic were revealed in the article. The foot routes of shepherds with their flocks were refined. The Chatyr-Dah’s role as an important center of shepherds culture in the Crimea was considered. The specialization, professional responsibilities and working conditions of shepherds have been studied in this . The certain elements of the daily life and specific characters of professional suit of the shepherds in the appointed period were considered. The basic symbolic elements of the traditional suit of Crimean shepherds were identified.
