THE TREATMENT OF SEVERE ALLERGIC ASTHMA WITH OMALIZUMAB

Abstract

Omalizumab is effective for the treatment of severe allergic asthma irrespective of pre-treatment blood eosinophil count. Omalizumab decreases the rate of exacerbation, the dose of systemic and inhaled gliucocorticoids, increases the quality of life. Treatment with omalizumab safe, effectiveness long term, besides is the possibility to treat children.
