The Urgency of Tackling Human Trafficking Crimes Due to Weak Supervision of Kampus Merdeka Policies in Indonesia

Abstract
Human trafficking has often occurred in Indonesia and recorded in the history of trafficking in a country that has sovereignty is certainly caused by the weak supervision of the relevant parties who have the authority, the mode carried out by the perpetrators of human trafficking has varied and resulted in the academic community becoming victims of human trafficking. The problems studied in this study are how efforts to eradicate the criminal act of trafficking in persons against students who are victims and how the legal arrangements should be in the independent campus policy in Indonesia in the independent internship programme to learn an independent campus. This research was conducted using normative juridical and empirical juridical methods. The normative juridical method of research approach uses legislation. Meanwhile, empirical juridical uses a research approach by interviewing competent parties. The data sources used in this research are primary data sources and secondary data which are then analysed qualitatively. The results obtained from this study are that the world of education is the target of criminals with the mode of sending student internships abroad which indirectly confirms the weaknesses in the supervision of independent campus policies. This study concludes that the weaknesses in the supervision of the independent campus policy have caused serious implications.
