The Weighted Average Method for Predicting the Performance of Systems
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Engineering & Technology(IJARCET) - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 7
Abstract
Predicting performance of a software system with bursts of customer sessions is essential to ensure scalability and availability and manageability. The tools that can predict performance can help in supporting systems in terms of planning, management and system sizing. We propose a new algorithm for predictive performance. That is WAM (Weighted Average Method) which is meant for improving accuracy of predictions. WAM considers bursts of customer requests in order to reflect the influence of bursts in the system. The experimental results revealed that WAM is efficient in predicting performance of selected software system with bursts of customer requests.

Design of Area Efficient High Speed Parallel Multiplier Using Low Power Technique on 0.18um technology
Based on the simplification of the addition operations in a low-power bypassing-based multiplier, a low-cost low-power bypassing-based multiplier is proposed. Row-bypassing multiplier, column-bypassing multiplier and bru...
A Resolved Retrieval Technique For Software Components
t___Retrieval is a major area in software repository because reuse is only effective if it is easier to locate than to write from scratch. In this paper we are describing the classical methods for retrieving the...
Mitigating Denial of Service Attacks in Wireless Networks
The open nature of the wireless media becomes a root cause for denial of service attack. Denial of Service (DOS) can be different types and disrupt multiple layers. The idea here is to prevent the cyberspace from DOS att...
