The Wine in Arabic Poetry

Abstract
Arabs have known wine made from grapes, dates, and barley since their inception and they named them based on color, measurement of alcohol content, and their countries of origin. Wine poets refers to the group of poets who indulge in the world of alcohol, starting with wines, their descriptions, their containers and shapes, going back to their origins and descriptions of any wine gatherings. These gatherings often consist of drinkers, addicts. songs, mirth, and a display of wine‟s impact on the members both psychologically and physically. It also includes trance, snobbery, other levels of entertainment, and rituals. As a result, high level of esteem was placed on verses and poems written of alcohol in Arabic literature. There is no doubt that everyone who made any alcohol references in their writing used it as an entrance to the world of politics, happiness, beauty, knowledge, and as the only outlet from the prison of society, its conditions, and traditions as well as one‟s method of dealing with existential crisis. This researching about wine situation and specifications in the arabic poetry. It is trying to find every details and reaction which is said by poet.
