Thematic Review on Ergin Günce's Poetry
Journal Title: Söylem Filoloji Dergisi - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
Besides his academic identity, Ergin Günçe writes also poems as a man of letters. Even though he prefers surrealistic images and latent content in his first poems that are influenced from the Second New style, the socio-political phenomenon of the period gradually directs his poetry to an ideological platform. He takes a stance against the social structure and the political practices of the period and he blends his stance with a lyrical tone. The lyricism in his poems is not in a sentimental level but in a connotation level. In this article, Ergin Günçe’s poetry is going to be thematically scrutinized in terms of variations and conversions that it has. In this research, in addition to poetry analysis, the themes and findings are going to be determined and reported with the introspection method as well.
