THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE STUDY OF SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the development of social and economic conceptualization of social institutions, which plays an important role in ensuring and maintaining the functionality of society as a social system. Society is formed from the system of social institutions and is a complex set of economic, political, legal, spiritual relations, ensuring its integrity as a social system. Institutional changes that are characterized by modern Ukrainian society influence processes and, accordingly, social transformation of politics, formation of new social groups, social stratification, etc. The genesis, the essence and function of social institutions require a comprehensive economic and scientific reflection in order to find fundamentally new ideas, approaches and directions aimed at opening new perspectives and mechanisms of institutional evolution of modern societies.The research is due to the necessity of theoretical and applied rationale for the new subjective structure and network interaction of social institutions. The scientific and practical significance of the research is to substantiate the formation and development of modern institutions and to establish a new format for their interaction within the framework of a new economy. The author analyzes the main approaches to understanding the essence and concept of social institutions and the history of their formation, briefly describes the main features inherent in social institutes as such. The problem of studying social institutes, which originates from the period of formation and institutionalization of sociology as a science, is investigated. The presence of conceptual problem issues in formulating the definition of the concept and functioning of social institutions is determined.
