THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL APPROACHES TO THE STUDY OF REGIONAL SPATIAL MODELS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The article analyzes the main theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of models of spatial development of the regions of the country, in particular, the approach to determining the structure of the “center – periphery” model and studying the migration of regions in this model; methodical recommendations for modeling world dynamics and constructing the cognitive scheme of the basic regional model “center – periphery”; the methodology for assessing the consistency of the development dynamics of central and peripheral regions within the framework of diffusion of innovations, etc. It is proved that for the modeling of “center – periphery” relations at the regional level it is expedient to use a combination of statistical, mathematical and cartographic methods and research methods.
