Abstract
The article examines the theoretical foundations of effective use of agricultural land. The main types of efficiency such as economic, social, environmental, structural, technical and technological, shows their relationship. The main parameters determining the efficiency of land use. The basic ways to increase the efficiency of land use in agriculture such as soil fertility conservation and protection, introduction of modern achievements of science and other selection.
