THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF RESEARCH OF professional self concept’ INFLUENCE on the formation of a successful career

Abstract

Purpose of the article is to reveal the role of psychological factors of professional «self — concept» in forming a successful career. Professional «self-concept» includes representation rights of a person as a member of the professional community, professional culture, including certain professional standards, rules, traditions, which are specific to the certain professional community. The issue of professional «self-concept» development refers to the general problem of becoming a professional domestic sources of its professional development and personal moral and spiritual growth. The term «career» in a general sense means the successful promotion in public, service, research and other activities. D. Super identified four types of careers that depend on personality traits, lifestyle, attitudes and values of the person. Great individuality within individual types of career in life is largely determined by personal characteristics. It should be noted that professional «self-concept» is the base of these types, namely whether the concept is defined as a person, if so, how it is defined, as this person refers to him/herself as a professional, to their environment, the responsibility he/she should do, etc. These psychological factors also influence on type of career that would be inherent in a particular person. Career orientation depends on family education, personal characteristics of the employee, the type of professional activity, which a person involved in as well as cultural and social differences.
