Thermomechanical Processing of Microalloyed Steels Used for Naval and Oil Industries
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2005, Vol 28, Issue 1
Abstract
This paperwork shows the laboratory experiments made on X60 and X65 steels with several intercritical thermomechanical treatment application. Two variants were used: “down-up” thermomechanical treatment with heating and rolling in the intercritical range and “up-down” thermomechanical treatment with preliminary complete austenitizing and rolling in the intercritic interval. High values of the strength characteristics and a good plasticity were gotten. A comparison was made with gotten results of the classical thermal treatment application (normalizing).

Mathematical Modelling of the Main Carburizing Thermochemical Treatment Parameters Influence on the Surface Hardness Parts Made in AMS 6265 (SAE 9310) Steel
This work is a part of broader experimental research study on the influence of the main process parameters (thermal, temporal and chemical of carburizing thermochemical treatment on the level of the main microstructural...
Effect of Mean Diameter Size of Disperse Phase on Morphology and Corrosion Resistance of Phenol – Formaldehyde Resin/Zn Coatings
The present work has the purpose of obtaining composite coatings using phenol – formaldehyde (PF) resin electrodeposited with zinc. The phenol – formaldehyde resin/Zn coatings were electrodeposited from a suspension of P...
Research on the Corrosion Resistance, in Saline Solution, of Steel Sheets for Industrial Construction, by Gravimetric Method
In this paper, it was presented a study on corrosion in saline medium, by gravimetric method, of the steel sheets for industrial construction. The corrosion rate was estimated by gravimetric method and evaluate based on...
Zinc Layer Removal at the Steel Appliances Scraps
All appliances contain an important quantity of steel and iron. These can be further recycled at the end of product usefulness. A component of the appliances is the bodies. These are made from galvanized steel. A study f...
Comparative Characteristics of Martensite and Bainite in Cu-Based SMAs
The present work reports the evolution of micro-structure and shape memory behavior in a Cu-15 Zn-6 Al (mass. %) shape memory alloy (SMA), as a function of the applied hot working procedure and of the performed heat trea...
