Thyroid Nodules and Thyroid Cancer: What Approaches to Diagnosis and Treatment are Recommended by American Thyroid Association in 2015

Abstract
The critical review of the latest guidelines of world most valuable task force team of American Thyroid Association considers main of more than 100 recommendations on the diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow-up of patients with thyroid nodules and differentiated thyroid cancer. The possibility of using clinical guidelines in terms of the national health system has been estimated. Prospects of using genetic researches in differential diagnosis of thyroid tumors were considered. There has been stressed the importance of new predictive approach — dynamic risk assessment based on response to initial treatment, as well as reasonable and individualized attitude to radioiodine and the use of suppressive therapy with thyroid hormones in patients with differentiated carcinoma.
