Abstract
The rapid development of information technology has had a tremendous impact on all spheres of life of human society. The development of IT culture, information and technological competence has become a prerequisite for the normal development of the state, business, individuals. The article examines the level of development of ITC in the adult population of Russia, pointing out the main problems and possible ways of overcoming them.
