Total Quality Management in School

Abstract
This studyaims to identify the level of quality of school in Kedah and the relationshipbetweenschoolqualityindicatorwhich are Values and Duties, System and Team, Resources and Change and also Meeting PupilNeeds and Empowering Staff. This studywasconducted in a cross sectionalsurvey. A total of 375 teachersworking in secondaryschool in Kedah wereselected as respondents to answer the Total Quality Management in School questionnaire by West-Burham (1992). Data analysisshowedthat the average score is 53.50. In addition, data findingsalsoshowedthatthereisacorrelatio nbetween all schoolqualityindicators. The findings show thatsomeimprovements are necessary to be made in order to create a positive school culture environment and to generatestudent’s excellence performance. Leader of the schoolshouldalsobe more proactive and wise in managing a school.
