Towards developing an Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) in educational institutions

Journal Title: RHS-Revista Humanismo y Sociedad - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 1

Abstract

This article provides an account of five types of Intellectual Property Management (IPM) models proposed for educational institutions. For the purpose of analysis, these models have been classified as follows: linear models, spiral models, flat models, circular models and systemic models. A systemic model is suggested at the end of the paper for institutions that are just beginning the process of identifying, protecting and managing intellectual property (IP).
