Abstract
Aging of the population arising from the increasing in life expectancy and decreasing in the number of births, brings new challenges to the dentist. Reduction of the volume of bone and deterioration in its quality ( osteoporosis) causes loss of retention, stabilisation, functionality and deterioration in the quality of dental aesthetic restorations.The use of dental implants significantly increases the quality of life, inhibits the bone loss process and contributes to the formation of new bone in the vicinity of the implant in response to the forces transmitted through them. However, implant treatment in certain cases lasts even several months. That is why, to accelerate the osseointegration process, different methods have been developed. Various shapes of implants, threads and surfaces. Recent advancements have led to the development of a new Trabecular Matal Dental Implant, Zimmmer Dental Inc.
