TRANSACTIONAL SECTOR AND TRANSACTION COSTS IN THE ECONOMY OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article explores the nature and peculiarities of transaction costs manifestation in the market economy system. Theorists’ views revolution regarding the mechanisms’ effectiveness of market self-regulation of interaction between economic entities and transaction costs is shown. The dynamics of the transaction services sector is analyzed in the conditions of market transformations in the Ukrainian economy. What is more, the contradicting tendencies in the development of the sector are revealed. The conclusion is grounded on the fact that the main factor of redundancy of transaction costs and, as a result, non-optimal distribution of property rights in Ukraine, is the low efficiency of public administration institutions and the deep ‘failures of the state’ in the economic sphere.
