TRASEE TURISTICE RELIGIOASE ÎN PARTEA NORDICĂ A REGIUNII DE DEZVOLTARE SUD-MUNTENIA
Journal Title: Geographia Napocensis - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
Although the religious heritage of the counties from the Northern part of South Muntenia development region is impressive as size and value, covering over eight hundred years of Christianity on these lands, its contribution to the economic development of the area is modest. Thus, along measures to rehabilitate some of the buidings, development of access and accommodation infrastructure in the adjacent areas there is the need to enforce a better cooperation among the local authorities, church and local business operating in tourism, as well as to create tourism offers for religious itineraries that will attract and retain for a longer period of time the pilgrims in tourism activities. In the following paper, starting from the analysis of the inventory of the religious heritage and corroborating the calendar of religious holidays with this analysis, I propose a series of religious itineraries. Some of them are taking place in more counties, on a period of more days which can have a synergic role in the touristic religious activity.
