Journal Title: International Journal of Nursing Didactics (IJND) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 3

Abstract

Introduction: Dyslipidemias are asymptomatic diseases detected by increased blood levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-C (LDL-C) and decreased HDL-C (HDL-C). With respect to the above, a good alternative is the natural medicine that is intended to decrease the absorption of fats and thereby decrease the risk of diseases due to dyslipidemia. Oatmeal with apple juice for reducing dyslipidemia can be of great health benefit, it is now known that oats can help you lose weight since it is a soluble fiber and this helps to feel satiated for longer. OBJECTIVE It will be demonstrated that the daily intake of oats and apple in water in the morning, within a period of 15 days decreases the levels of dyslipidemia. METHODOLOGY: Type of experimental, prospective, longitudinal and analytical research. We randomly selected 11 adults, who for 15 days will consume our proposed liquefaction. RESULTS: It was possible to demonstrate that oat-apple water does improve in LDL, glucose and atherogenic risk. But there is no significance in triglycerides and HDL. Conclusions: The morning blending proposal improved the levels of dyslipidemias, since there is experimental evidence that shows the beneficial effect of this combination.
