Treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with phototherapy
Journal Title: Przewodnik Lekarza - Year 2005, Vol 79, Issue 7
Abstract
The authors describe the usefulness of the phototherapy in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris on the basis of the literature and their experience. To reduce side effects, a combination of UVB, SUP, UVB 311 nm, PUVA with other topical and systemic therapies and balneotherapy should be used. Psychological factors may also contribute to the beneficial effect of the spa – removal from the stresses of home and work, and social encounters with other psoriatic patients.
