Abstract
The article presents a case of intoxication syndrome. In our opinion, the pathological process was as follows: favorable premorbid background (allergization and poisoning by toxic products of ascarids metabolism and malignant tumor lysis, intestinal dysbiosis with immunosuppression, poor nutrition, age) — colorectal cancer — invasion into the spleen — the development of multiple abscesses in it — perforation of pathologically changed intestinal wall — purulent peritonitis — general intoxication — death.
