Turbo-Matching Analysis of Trim Size B60J67, A58N70 and A58N75 turbocharger for Commercial Vehicle Engine
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering and Science Invention - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 11
Abstract
Turbocharger is castigated as the charge booster for IC engines at all operating speeds and road conditions specifically for higher load condition. Appropriate selection of turbocharger is a must because the improper selection may cause surge and choke in flow of charge. The turbo-matching is a tedious task which requires utmost care. This research article focuses on investigation of turbo-matching performances of different turbo-chargers for the desired engine by simulation and on road test (Data-Logger). The turbochargers with trim 67 (B60J67), trim 70 (A58N70) and trim 75 (A58N75) considered for turbo-matching with TATA 497 TCIC -BS III engine. In the data-logger method the road conditions like rough, highway, city Drive, slope up and Slope down were considered. With aid of compressor map the simulated and on road tested observations respect various speeds as well as different compared and discussed the turbo-matching appropriateness.
