Abstract
We współczesnych definicjach „sprawności fizycznej” podkreśla się, że jest to właściwość, poprzez którą charakteryzuje się nie tylko poziom aktualnych możliwości i zachowań ruchowych. Omawiając sprawność fizyczną konieczne jest przede wszystkim uwzględnienie strukturalnego i funkcjonalnego podłoża, a także cech codziennej fizycznej aktywności danego osobnika. Elementy te stanowią istotny komponent osobniczych zdolności do zdrowego, aktywnego i twórczego życia.
